The Leeco Le Max 2 is a flagship smartphone with a good value for money, especially if you count the content services provided with the device for free. The phone is fast, has a nice screen and is well built. This is not the best in its price range, but it is definitely worth considering.

DETAILED REVIEW OF THE LEECO MAX 2

The current market is such that the fate of a product can change in a few days. The LeEco Le Max 2 was a real nod to a product that was ready to take over our top 10 lists (yes, they are based on our tests). Ah! Together came the OnePlus 3, which surprised the competition, including the Le Max 2. Does this mean that the Leeco Le Max 2 is not a good phone? Absolutely not. There’s more to this phone than the specs, and that alone makes it worth considering. In this Leeco Le Max 2 review, we analyze everything that is good and what is not in this phone.

Building and Designing: Lessons learned…

LeEco’s business model revolves around the provision of content, which is why the company has previously integrated a screen larger than 6 inches into the Max. In terms of ergonomics, the Max was quite uncomfortable. It was too big, too heavy and had no ergonomic sense. This has changed with the Le Max 2. The company this time chose a 5.7-inch screen, which is much more ergonomic in the general sense.

The Max 2 looks more like a phone than a tablet. The slightly beveled edges prevent the sides from digging into your hands. It is still difficult, but not as much as before, and the power button is located exactly where the thumb is. To be clear, there is no shape as ergonomic as a OnePlus 3, but it is usable and meets industry standards.

Much of the property on the back is captured by the 21MP camera protruding from the body. I find it a bit unsightly to look at, but it gives the Max 2 a unique look. That is, it exposes the glass on the camera lens to scratches that should occur in the long term, a problem that is also suspected in the OnePlus 3.

On the back there are black antenna bands that look great, and the new LeEco logo (stylized with the letters L and E) is located on the lower back.

The Max 2 is one of the best built phones. The monocoque aluminum is really sturdy and there is no misalignment on the speaker grilles and USB type-C ports.

However, it should be noted that the Leeco Le Max 2 is essentially a larger version of the Le 2. It doesn’t matter at the moment, but the company should differentiate the design in the long run to avoid revisions.
